Last weekend we encouraged our community to stay home and spend some extra time with family and friends. To help facilitate that we put together a 30-minute video called “Living Room Liturgy” that includes music, teaching, family prayer and communion. This past weekend Scott Hodge led us into our fourth and final week of Advent by exploring the “both/and” nature of Christ’s incarnation. Learning to say “yes” to these great paradoxes, allow us to say “yes” to the paradoxes in our own lives.

“My soul magnifies the Lord.” These are the opening words of what may be one of the most faith filled, courageous, and even subversive songs/prayers found anywhere in the scriptures. This past weekend Scott Hodge shared with our community some fresh insight into these well known words known as “The Magnificat” – Mary’s response to the news that she would give birth to the Messiah.
